Welcome to The Peaky Flyers
The Peaky Flyers are an informal UK based group of paramotor and aviation enthusiasts, good friends and companions where the ethos is sharing, encouraging, supporting one another and simply having as much adventure and fun as possible flying together!
Our members range from renowned international expert, through experienced and newer pilots, to complete beginners and others who want to find out more about paramotoring. If you would like to know more please do contact us. We’re friendly, welcoming and always happy to help in any way we can.

What are the Peaky Flyers about?
The Peaky Flyers were started back in 2020 when Craig Hall and I decided to create a small group of paramotor pilots and friends. The whole idea was very simple — keep learning, build confidence, and share experience, whether that’s from mentors or just helping each other out along the way.
As many pilots know, paramotor training often happens miles away from home. Once it’s over, you can suddenly find yourself on your own, keen to keep flying but without a support network. We’ve been there, and it’s something a lot of people go through. So we thought, why not create a small group of like-minded people where we can keep improving together — no pressure, no judgement, just encouragement and support.
Peaky Flyers is a real mix of experience levels. We’ve got everyone from internationally recognised experts to seasoned pilots and those who’ve only just qualified. People come from all sorts of backgrounds too — fixed-wing flying, paragliding, gliding, skydiving, and some with no aviation experience at all. What brings us all together is a shared love of flying and a determination to keep getting better, so we can enjoy the skies safely and confidently.
As for the name… it’s a bit of a story. It’s inspired by the Peaky Gliders group, which I joined after being introduced by Roberto Ferrero. That group isn’t active any more, so Craig and I decided to carry the spirit forward with Peaky Flyers — a small Midlands-based club with a focus on supporting newer pilots.
And yes, the name is also a cheeky nod to Peaky Blinders, the famous Birmingham gang. Being Brummies ourselves, we felt it was only right to claim a bit of that heritage. Don’t worry — we’re much friendlier than the original lot … and hopefully safe from any lawsuits!
