Nothing to do with paramotoring but since I closed my artworks unlimited business I thought I’d show some of my artwork here.
I don’t class myself as a “painter” being , as I am, solidly engaged in the illustrative and figurative rather than the abstract. I’ve been amazed and mesmerized by the skills of the Masters and never felt the urge to join the 20th century arena! I love to truly “see”, to analyse and recreate in various media what it was that triggered my reaction. The recurring theme I guess is “light”, atmosphere, mood, emotion and an underlying depiction of romance. Let’s face it I’m just an old (fashioned) fart, stuck in my ways but still marvelling at and revelling in fantastic sights, scenes, landscapes and the inspiration they give to me.
Many of the pieces are old , some are commissions and some were just done for the hell of it, challenging myself to see if I can render texture, light, … realism I suppose?
